Keller Free Concert In The Park – August 15th with Carly Patterson
Written by billbam on August 25, 2009 – 7:16 am -2004 Olympic Champion Carly Patterson performed at Keller’s Concert in the Park on August 15th, 2009. A good crowd attended this final event in Keller’s once a month free summer concert series, including lots of families with children who came to get Carly’s autograph. Originally from Louisiana, Carly now lives locally in Allen, Texas. Carly and her band played for about two hours, singing songs that she has written herself from recent life experiences.

Keller Family Camp Out Night
Written by billbam on July 1, 2009 – 8:56 am -Keller Family Camp Out Night at Bear Creek Park was the night of June 26, 2009. The park area around the creek was filled with tents, kids fishing and playing on the gym equipment at the playgrounds. I am always amazed at the number of events that the City of Keller holds at this park, you can count on at least one event overy few weeks throughout the summer!

Fishing for Fun Day at Keller’s Bear Creek Park
Written by billbam on June 21, 2009 – 12:45 pm -Went for our daily walk at Keller’s Bear Creek Park on Saturday and the city was hosting “Fishing for Fun Day” for all the Fathers and their kids in the area. The event was very well attended with lots of young fishermen learning the ropes from Dad! Probably the funniest thing at the event was watching the ducks and geese avoiding the constant toss of hooks and bobbers as they swam around in Battleship formation.

Keller Bear Creek Park
Written by billbam on June 16, 2009 – 2:33 pm -Below is a picture of one of our many friends at Bear Creek Park. From looking up websites we believe it is a Blotched Diamond Water Snake, totally harmless however a 4 to 5 foot snake slithering along the grass a few feet from the trail can be unnerving considering the cottonmouths that frequent the area.
